Crop Predictions Take Flight

Computomics and SiberGeo teamed up to develop a solution for better crop prediction. Currently we produce 30 megatons less grain needed to feed the world, and a changing climate is affecting crops. The average time to develop and bring a new variety to market is 13 years. Although more and more data from markers, images, climate, soil, to phenotype analyses are recorded than ever before, breeders have no way to integrate it all. Earth observation data is currently not used in any crop prediction solution and that’s where Computomics and SiberGeo step in. The solution our consortium is developing integrates EO data from the In Situ Datahub via an API, and novel on-ground geophysical sensor technologies.
