This year has started successfully for the PARSEC Accelerator as our first Open Call attracted 348 applicants representing all focus sectors and 36 countries across Europe and beyond. If you have already applied or you are interested in discovering how to benefit from the PARSEC Accelerator and its ecosystem, stay tuned for what is happening in 2020.
After the closing of the application period on the 3rd of January 2020, more than three hundred applicants are currently taking part in the peer-to-peer evaluation. The resulting 100 winners will meet each other and the PARSEC Accelerator team on the 27th of March 2020 in Stuttgart, Germany, to start working on their business ideas. During the three-day bootcamp, beneficiaries will take part in workshops, lectures, coaching sessions, and, most importantly, in the matchmaking event where they will seek for partners to build cross-border and/or cross-sectoral consortia.
Further matchmaking events will be organised throughout spring 2020. These events will be open to all SMEs, start-ups, entrepreneurs or aspiring founders interested in building partnerships with the PARSEC Accelerator beneficiaries and in proposing an Earth Observation-based solution for Food, Energy and Environment sectors to the PARSEC Accelerator Open Call 2. To facilitate the access to matchmaking and networking, two of the events will be hosted online, while three others will be organised in different regions of Europe and will be announced through our channels in due time.
At the PARSEC Accelerator Open Call 2, the teams of 2-4 companies will present their Earth Observation-based innovations for Food, Energy or Environment and compete for further €100.000 funding per consortia during the PARSEC Demo Day, which will take place in July in Brussels, Belgium. PARSEC Open Call 2 will be launched in spring 2020 and will be open for consortia where at least one of the members is a winner of the PARSEC Accelerator Open Call 1.
