Over the last weeks our team has been redesigning the implementation of the PARSEC Accelerator to respond to the escalating situation with the COVID-19 pandemic, and therefore to allow you to safely keep on accelerating your ideas from your couch. As most of the world right now, the PARSEC team is working from their homes to move all our interactions to the digital world. To enable you to stay home, stay safe and accelerate your innovations for food, energy or environment, we changed the way the bootcamp and the matchmaking events will run.
PARSEC goes digital:
- PARSEC Bootcamp goes online
#100PARSEC, the PARSEC first stage beneficiaries, will meet for the PARSEC Bootcamp on the 27th of March 2020, as originally planned. However, instead of meeting physically in Stuttgart, Germany, the bootcamp will take place on the PARSEC Hyperspace, the online platform dedicated for training services of the #100PARSEC. The 3-day agenda of the bootcamp has been adapted and split into one full bootcamp day followed by bi-weekly sessions of learning, training and one-on-one coaching.
- Online matchmaking
An important part of the accelerator’s first stage is networking and matchmaking between SMEs and entrepreneurs from different countries and sectors, including those who are not among the #100PARSEC. Instead of holding 4 physical and 2 online matchmaking events, we will invite the #100PARSEC as well as other companies interested in applying for the Open Call 2 to join us on the PARSEC online matchmaking platform. The platform will help you meet potential partners and form cross-sectoral and/or cross-border consortia of 2-4 organisations. The matchmaking platform will be available during the whole period of the Open Call 2.
The PARSEC Accelerator continues supporting innovation!
While we adapted the implementation of our activities, the accelerator continues its mission in fostering Earth Observation-based innovation for food, energy or environment sectors. We are still looking forward to receiving your business ideas, developed with your consortium for the Open Call 2. The 15 winning consortia of the Open Call 2 (#15PARSEC) will receive €100.000 equity-free funding (per consortium) and access to the second stage business support services such as the PARSEC business catalysts, the investment readiness programme, and the export promotion services.
The PARSEC Open Call 2 will be open as originally planned and announced between 30 March and 20 June 2020.
The PARSEC Demo Days which were originally planned as a physical event in Brussels, Belgium on the 2-3 July 2020, currently remain as scheduled. However, we may have to adapt the PARSEC Demo Days as well, following the developments of the COVID-19 situation, including recommendations and restrictions imposed by the pandemic.
