On the 16th and 17th of June, PARSEC Accelerator is organising business and investment-centred activities and a pitching championship for the #15PARSEC at the EXPANDEO event.

EXPANDEO is EARSC’s flagship annual event bringing together Earth Observation (EO) providers and users. It is a great place to discover market trends and promote networking and collaboration. Therefore, PARSEC is proud to join this year’s event by enabling showcasing opportunities for the 15 Open Call 2 winning consortia, the #15PARSEC. As #15PARSEC solutions are reaching new levels of maturity and investment readiness, at EXPANDEO, #15PARSEC will present their services in front of a jury of investors and interact with the main actors of the European EO industry.

PARSEC Accelerator will also hold a booth at the virtual EXPANDEO exhibition. Come and visit us at the booth to chat with us as well as discover #15PARSEC and PARSEC Business Catalysts.

In addition, PARSEC Accelerator focuses on investors and investment opportunities for start-ups and SMEs. To this end, PARSEC offers to all EXPANDEO attendees a special session on opportunities and challenges brought by investing in innovations fuelled by EO.

In a nutshell, PARSEC is organising the following sessions at EXPANDEO:

#15PARSEC pitching championship (by invitation only)

Wednesday, 16th of June, from 10.00-13.30 CEST

An exclusive pitching contest among the #15PARSEC in front of invited investors a selected Jury of experts  who will select the pitching champion. The winner will be disclosed to the public at the EARSC AWARDS Ceremony. The teams will have the opportunity to test their pitching skills and present their current readiness. The championship comes after all the teams will have completed the PARSEC Second Stage training which included the Investment Readiness Programme, and the Promotions Module.

Investing in EO (open to all attendees)

Thursday, 17th of June, from 15.00-16.00 CEST

Learn from experienced investors on the opportunities and risks related to investing in the Earth Observation sector, including:

  • How can one invest in Earth Observation-based solutions?
  • What are the main aspects to take into account to limit the risks?

Join this session to follow a panel discussion of knowledgeable EO investors.

ABOUT EXPANDEO 2021/ FIRE Forum 2021

EARSC’s annual conference EXPANDEO 2021 is taking place online between 16th and 17th of June 2021. It brings together Earth Observation providers and users to discover market trends and to promote networking and collaboration in different sectors. This year, EXPANDEO focuses on such industries as Agriculture, Infrastructure, Marine, Raw Materials, Wind Energy, Urban Development, Insurance, AI, Oil & Gas.

In 2021 EXPANDEO is collaborating with the FIRE Forum, the industry-led Forum for Innovation and Research in European Earth Observation, which will hold its first FIRE Forum alongside EXPANDEO, on the 16th of June 2021. The FIRE Forum 2021 will bring together stakeholders from six sectors and Earth Observation experts to discuss current and future sectoral challenges and opportunities brought to these sectors by Earth Observation. FIRE Forum focuses on the following six sectors: agriculture, energy, infrastructure, marine, raw materials and urban development.
